Perspectives on Preaching: a witness of the Irish Church

edited by Maurice Elliott & Patrick McGlinchey

*OUT OF STOCK*

Perspectives On Preaching: A Witness of the Irish Church is an edited volume showcasing some of the most creative thinking about preaching currently emerging from within the Irish context. The team of contributors represent the four main churches in Ireland and all are regularly engaged in the preaching ministry.

Many of the names are familiar (e.g. Richard Clarke, Harold Miller, Trevor Morrow) and all bring a unique perspective. The publication engages with three key themes: the task of preaching Scripture effectively; the unique charisms which characterise preaching in the four main traditions; and the challenge to preach relevantly in today’s changing culture.

The book carries within it a wide range of expertise and considerable passion for its theme. It will especially encourage those seeking to develop and grow in this key area of Christian ministry and service.
